Jun. 6th, 2020 05:58 amGarrett resides in the Sleeping Carriage most hours of the days spent on the train. He likes the comfortable silence between him and the Unnamed Spider (Kumoko) quite nicely, thank you. His "section" of the train is described as thus:
In one of the corners opposite the Sleeper side, there are a growing number of shiny objects woven into and hanging from the spider web there. Upon closer inspection the shiny objects appear to mostly be fancy pieces of jewelry and ornaments--the styles differ and really clever people might realize each are from a different world the train has traveled to. There is also a painting of a desert sunset on one wall.
There is also a rounded bird cage hanging from the spider web near that corner. It usually houses a black and white magpie within it unless Garrett (or someone else) has taken her out for a bit.
The vanity table closet to Garret's corner has been set up as a work space. It is full of tools, fully made and half made arrows, and pieces of scrap metal in various states of tinkering. A book rests nearby:
Garrett generally spins an orb web in the corner he resides. Though he also decorates the area with various hammocks hanging at different levels from the ground in that area. One is close to the ceiling and he generally sleeps there during the day whenever interruptions are scarce; another is closer to the height of the bird cage so he can hang next to Jenivere the magpie; and the last one is more like a swing near ground level that he can sit in when company hangs out.
Additionally, Garrett spent the first month and a half gathering materials and re-making his collapsible compound bow from scratch (again). Whenever it is not on him, it's nestled high in the webbing, wrapped up like a cocooned prey item. Likewise, the best tools he's found on a mission (an electronic set of tools from Space Mission) are kept up there whenever not in use as well. The lockpicks he arrived with are always hidden on him somewhere. He also has two backpacks hanging around or thrown on the floor and a few leftover smart phones and tablets from a batch he stole from a few worlds. There is a carpet with silver woven into it and painted symbols on it hung on the wall catty-corner to the desert painting. It was stolen from the desert world (with the shadows) and modified by Samata to be a flying carpet. Yep.
